Who We Are

Our initials are not just a name. They are a promise.

At Grady Advisory Partners, G.A.P. stands for Guidance, Advocacy, and Purpose — the three principles that guide every engagement, every recommendation, and every relationship we build. It is the kind of alignment that does not happen by accident. It happens when a firm is built around something it actually believes.

Everything we do is guided by these three principles that reflect not only how we work, but who we are.

Guidance

We illuminate the path forward. Through deep expertise, clear communication, and honest perspective, we help you see your financial and operational landscape with confidence — and chart a course toward lasting success.

A

Advocacy

We are in your corner, always. We champion your best interests with the same passion and commitment we bring to our own family. Every recommendation we make is driven by a genuine desire to see you thrive.

P

Purpose

We are driven by something greater than the bottom line. Every engagement is rooted in a clear purpose: to help families and business owners achieve financial clarity, spend more time with the people they love, and build something they are proud of.

The Background Behind the Promise

I founded Grady Advisory Partners after more than a decade building my career across public accounting firms and corporate finance roles in a wide range of industries. Before launching this firm, I worked inside some of the most complex financial environments a CPA can encounter — from healthcare systems and investment advisory firms to renewable energy, manufacturing companies, real estate, non-profits, and technology organizations. That breadth of experience is not incidental. It is the foundation of everything I bring to every client, regardless of size or sector.

What I Bring to Every Engagement

I hold a Master of Science in Accounting from Michigan State University, and I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant. My background spans both sides of the accounting world — the technical rigor of public accounting and the operational reality of corporate finance. That combination means I understand not just what the numbers say, but what they mean for the decisions you are making every day.

Areas of deep expertise include:

  • Audit, financial reporting, and technical accounting
  • Controllership and operational finance
  • Financial planning and analysis
  • Mergers, acquisitions, and purchase accounting
  • Internal controls design, evaluation, and risk assessment
  • Operational process improvement

System Implementation Experience

One of the things that sets Grady Advisory Partners apart is hands-on experience leading and supporting the implementation of complex accounting and operational systems across multiple organizations. This is not theoretical knowledge it is the kind of practical, hard-won expertise that comes from being in the room when things go right and when they do not.

Systems I have successfully implemented and enhanced include:

  • Anaplan — enterprise budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • BlackLine — cloud-based account reconciliation, close management, and consolidations, implemented at multiple companies
  • Sycamore — full operating system built on Salesforce, purpose-built for broker/dealer and registered investment advisory firms
  • FIRST (Financial Income Recognition and Scheduling Tool) — specialized amortization software for ASC 606 revenue recognition compliance
  • PointClickCare, MatrixCare, and NetSmart — healthcare billing, clinical management, and electronic health records
  • UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) — payroll, HR, and workforce management
  • Microsoft Dynamics GP (Great Plains) including Management Reporter — mid-market ERP covering the full financial management lifecycle, from general ledger and AP/AR through payroll, inventory, and executive-level financial reporting.
  • Sage Intacct — AICPA-endorsed cloud financial management platform with working experience across advanced accounting automation, multi-entity consolidations, revenue recognition, real-time dashboards, and third-party integrations.
  • QuickBooks — including integrations with third-party applications and platforms

In addition, I bring working proficiency in SAP and SAP BPC, CaseWare, CCH ProSystem fx, and advanced Microsoft Excel — including complex financial modeling, pivot tables, power queries, and automated reporting.

Industries I Have Worked In

The businesses I have served span a wide range of sectors. That cross-industry experience means I bring perspective that a specialist in a single vertical simply cannot — I have seen what works, what breaks, and what the financial warning signs look like before they become expensive problems. Industries include healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, real estate, professional services, renewable energy, financial services and investment advisory, non-profits, and technology.

A Commitment to Continuing Excellence

Holding a CPA license is not a one-time achievement — it is an ongoing commitment. I maintain active licensure through continuing professional education each year, staying current on accounting standards, regulatory changes, and the evolving tools and technologies that affect the businesses I serve. That commitment to staying sharp is part of what it means to be a genuine financial partner, not just a service provider.

The Bottom Line

When you work with Grady Advisory Partners, you get a seasoned CPA with a decade-plus of experience across industries and disciplines, personally invested in your success from day one. That is not just a differentiator. That is the standard.
